Siopao (or Bao-Zi as what my chinese bros would say) - is pretty popular in the Philippines. It’s basically a hot bun with sweet soy-sauced based pork filling and eaten with sweet soy-based thick sauce. I remember my Dad, my Lolo (Grandpa), and all other relatives bringing me home some after their day at work. My mom used to say that its made of catmeat (as most of Siopaos during that time were bought at shady and dirty chinese hole-in-the-wall places). Cat-meat or not, it’s good. And im having it for lunch. Yum!
