So I just came back from the Passion Pit show. They were great but they didnt blow me away. I guess the audio engineer side of me would always keep griping about the synths being too loud or the drums not being mic’d well or that the singer dude should have some sort of a ‘double tracked’ or ‘chorus’ effect on his voice (same as the recorded album). For a hardworking band, they dont deserve a sucky live sound, seriously. But you have to forgive me though, ‘coz I love love loved their sound on the album and was kinda expecting something close to it (I honestly think it was a well produced album). Alas, I have to continue to remind myself that live sound is different from recorded sound. I still enjoyed myself though and found myself dancing to my favorite Passion Pit songs “Little Secret”, “Folds in Your Hands” and “Let Your Love Grow Tall”. All in all, I still feel like it was worth my $25.
But yeah, he should stop singing like a girl, lol
