Me and Susan are both fans of Dntel, an LA-based electronic musician known for his collaboration with Deathcab’s Ben Gibbard in the project known as The Postal Service. I have personally liked his pre-Postal Service stuff, where touched genres of IDM and Glitch. I also like his future-pop project Figurine.

I was really excited when listening to the radio on the way to work, I heard something kind of familiar. The unmistakeable Dntel style is there, but the sample is not so familiar. I later found out that the song was a Dntel Remix of Enya, and i liked it a lot! I searched online about it and foud out Dntel made an album full of Enya remixes! I just finished downloading it and cant wait to hear the whole album! You should download it too!

I make music as Dntel, my last few releases have come out on Sub Pop. I’ve loved Enya since I was a teenager and I just finished this mini-album of remixes I did this past fall after a marathon revisiting of her records. I’m really proud of it, but unfortunately I couldn’t figure out a way to give it a legitimate release. I felt like if I tried to get it to her through any of the usual channels it would probably get shut down before it even made it to her ears. Hopefully nobody will mind it floating around, it was made with love and no money will be made off of it. I hope you enjoy it!! – Jimmy Tamborello
